Day 1: Depart US

Day 2: Arrive in Munich – Upon arriving in Munich, you will transfer to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to rest and freshen up after your journey. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. Overnight in Munich.

Day 3: Munich City Tour – Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a guided tour of Munich. Begin at Marienplatz, the city’s central square, where you can watch the famous Glockenspiel show at the New Town Hall. Visit the Frauenkirche, Munich’s iconic twin-towered church, and stroll through the Viktualienmarkt, a bustling open-air market with fresh produce, flowers, and local crafts. In the afternoon, explore the opulent Nymphenburg Palace, with its stunning baroque architecture and expansive gardens. Spend your evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Munich.

Day 4: Dachau Memorial Site / Travel to Oberammergau – After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, the first of its kind established in Germany. This visit offers a poignant insight into the harrowing history of the Holocaust. In the afternoon, depart for Oberammergau, a quaint village known for its woodcarvings and the Passion Play performed every ten years. Upon arrival, check in to your charming local hotel. Day 5: Neuschwanstein Castle / Travel to Innsbruck – Begin your day with breakfast before departing for the enchanting Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairy-tale fortress built by King Ludwig II. Day 7: Salzburg City Tour / The Sound of Music Tour – After breakfast, join a comprehensive guided tour of Salzburg. Discover the wonders of Mirabell Palace and its beautiful gardens, where scenes from “The Sound of Music” were filmed. Visit the imposing Salzburg Cathedral, a masterpiece of baroque architecture. Stroll down Getreidegasse, Salzburg’s most famous shopping street, and visit No. 9, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, now a museum. In the afternoon, continue the “The Sound of Music” tour, visiting iconic filming locations such as Leopoldskron Palace, used as the exterior of the von Trapp family home, and Hellbrunn Palace, where you can see the famous gazebo from the movie. Day 8: Mondsee / Eagle’s Nest / Travel to Vienna – Start your day with breakfast before embarking on a visit to the picturesque lakeside village of Mondsee, where the wedding scene from “The Sound of Music” was filmed in the Mondsee Abbey. Then, travel to Berchtesgaden to visit the historic Eagle’s Nest, Adolf Hitler’s former mountain retreat, now a popular tourist destination offering breathtaking alpine views. Take a bus and elevator ride up to the Eagle’s Nest, perched atop Kehlstein Mountain at an elevation of 1,834 meters. Learn about the site’s history while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In the afternoon, depart for Vienna. Day 9: Vienna City Tour – Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a comprehensive guided tour of Vienna.
